The emg 35J model uses our J model single coil design encased in our 35 extended series housing. This model has a solid low end and a prominent midrange. Featuring a very low ratio of resistance to inductance that increases the low frequency response, the 35J still maintains the narrow aperture for that typical Jazz Bass tone. This pickup uses a housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm).

The EMG 35P4 design has two offset coils that result in more low end with brilliant highs. It uses short, squat coils that have very little resistance and plenty of inductance and ceramic magnets are used to add clarity. The 35P4 has a natural presence, powerful lows, punchy midrange, and superior definition. This pickup uses a 35 Extended housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm).

The EMG 35PX provides increased headroom giving the voicing an open tone while still maintaining the clarity and response that EMG’s are renowned for. Featuring ceramic magnets coupled with short, squat P coils and powered by a newly designed preamp in a 35 Extended housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm), the 35PX has a natural presence, powerful lows, punchy midrange, and superior definition. Inside the EMG 35TW pickup are both single and dual-coil pickups, each with its own output. The single-coil mode is a new version of our J pickup built in the CS (ceramic and steel). The dual-coil mode is our popular CS dual-coil consisting of two coils opposite one another creating a pickup similar to model 35CS. A push/pull volume (or tone) pot allows you to change from the clarity of a single-coil to the fatness of a dual-coil.
